Topics Mike speaks on
- The carbon-positive internet. How IMPT.io makes climate the default at point-of-sale, and why opt-in carbon markets fail at scale.
- Sovereign quantum compute for small open economies. The plan to deliver Ireland's first quantum compute facility by Q2 2027, and why Ireland's window is now.
- Organisational brain — multi-agent systems in production. The architecture, the failure modes, the lessons from running an agent swarm inside a real company.
- Building globally from a small Irish town. Why staying in Clonmel made IMPT a better company, not a smaller one.
- Founder mental health and the year after a child's death. A personal session, by request only, in memory of Bronagh.
- Road safety in rural Ireland. What needs to change, and the campaign our family has run since April 2025.

200-word bio
Michael English (Mike English) is the Founder and CTO of IMPT.io, the world's first carbon-positive hotel booking and shopping platform — 1.7 million hotels across 195 countries, with every booking offsetting one tonne of CO₂ on-chain, paid by IMPT from its commission. With over twenty years of engineering experience at Tesco, Dunnes Stores, and Oracle, Mike has spent his career building the digital systems behind some of Ireland's largest consumer platforms before turning that expertise toward climate. He is also leading the build of Ireland's first sovereign quantum compute facility, scheduled for Q2 2027, and is the founder of Bro AI, a grief companion app launched in memory of his daughter Bronagh. Based in Annerpark House, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Mike runs his companies from outside the capital deliberately — on the principle that the global problems his work addresses are not metropolitan problems. He speaks publicly about climate-tech, sovereign quantum infrastructure, multi-agent AI systems, and what it takes to build globally from a small Irish town.
